I just have to have a picture. Not a whole lot is going on around here. We have mostly been cleaning out the house and getting ready for Siobhan and Oscar to get back home. Hans and Olive have mostly had fun together but recently started playing with imaginary cousins. We went to the park yesterday and when an argument came up Hans said "Come on Silas, we'll play over here." to which Olive replied " Yeah Georgie, we don't need the boys." So, I think it will be a good thing when they have their brother and sister back. We are also getting ready for our Utah trip. There will be a baby blessing, the
Runnells boys first birthdays, and camping with the entire
Lindgren crew. We usually rent a car, but have decided to instead put the money into fixing up our car and driving that instead. Luckily, we received our IRS stimulus check on Monday. Pete had already planned out what we would be doing with it. That is why we work so well together. He is very rational and puts a great deal of thought and consideration in making sure we are well taken care of. I would have bought shoes. Lots of them, and maybe some purses. I love the idea of what you can do when given extra money. That is most of the fun. I am the same way in where to live. I can imagine how idyllic life would be in certain houses or places. I don't imagine the practical or realistic. I recently discovered how incredibly inexpensive Ogden is. And the houses! I love
this one(
definitely haunted).
This one has a butler pantry!
This one is 5 bedrooms! I have never been to
Ogden, this is where practical Pete is my guide. He has been there and knows me well enough to advise me that I would probably not be happy there. But, it's still fun to think about. Plus all these houses are in on historic 25th street. I did make sure that there is a coffee shop, that's all I really need, right? How great would it be to have half the house payment? Anyway, I have had fun thinking about what I would do with that IRS money if we didn't have anything else we had to do. What about you? What would you do? Here are some of my first thoughts.
#1.
Disneyland. How many times will this show up on a list?
#2.
These boots.
#3. Yards and yards of fabric from
here.
#4. A laptop. Completely
unnecessary, but I could blog on the go. Especially since I would also spend a lot of the money on more road trips.
#5. The grain mill
attachment to my
Kitchenaid. I love to bake our own bread and bet it would taste great with freshly ground flour. Kim just got one and said it's messy, but worth it.
Can't wait to see what you would do. No need to be practical, this is just for fun. Now, off to spend it on the car......

3. A centrifugal caster for jewelery making.
4. A custom made Golden Bear leather jacket like I had in high school.
5. New bicycle.
Matilda,
1. Disneyland (don't mean to copy but it's the truth we're going in August)
2. Downpayment on a house.
3. Old car to get to work.
4. Scuba diving in Mexico
5. Money in the bank (I can't help it I'm a Lindgren)
1. Purses (Brighton, Coach, etc.)
2. I would actually buy something from Gems TV.
3. I have always wanted to stay in a fancy hotel suite for a night and get room service and buy from the mini-bar. The Hugh Hefner suite at the Palms with the it's own bowling alley and plunge pool would be way cool.
4. Blow it all on slots in Laughlin, and not the pennies, the quarters.
5. Private fly fishing lessons.
What did we actually do? Pay down loans.
1. Another family trip to Disneyland. This time we would stay at the Disneyland Hotel.
2. A vacation to Mexico. San Miguel De Allende and Oaxaca would be nice too if in peace. Mazatlan as well. Oh, and Morelia.
3. Leaders in Leather handbags...lots of them..all colors and sizes. Also, money to go into them.
4. A twelve passenger van. We would still be cramped.
5. Comfortable and cozy furniture for the downstairs living room.
1. a mini pink motorcycle
2. Bella Sara cards
3. Disney World
4. my own computer
5. my own cell phone
1. Disneyland
2. new flooring
3. someone to clean my house
4. laptop
5. eye surgery
Anonymous- Who's Faith?
Dad- My next tattoo will be taking place in Utah.
Jeremy- I am so excited for you guys to go to Disneyland. I loved #5, you boys are all the same!
April- I loved #4! You are like me, I just cannot bear to spend my quarters, I usually stick to the nickel slots.
Lexi- You should just tell your mom to give you her computer and then she can buy a laptop! What are Bella Sara cards?
"Bella Sara is a unique combination of collectable, horse themed trading cards and a magical online world for girls." You buy the trading cards which have an access code on them to open up new horses on the website. "Play with your horses online, feed and care for your horses, play games-even decorate your own cottage." It has been the cool thing for the girls at Lexi's school. I think the website couldn't be more annoying. bellasara.com
