Sorry I'm a day late on the list. Pete had the day off yesterday after a root canal on Tuesday. The real estate agents came to scope out the house. I am really happy that we are working with them again. The house is almost all packed and we are at a 9 day countdown. So busy. We have a big week ahead. Pete has to head to Salt Lake for a meeting next week and my mom is coming to see us. I am going to see my friend Sara on Tuesday and then there is the much anticipated visit to the Lego store. It has been a legend amongst the boys. A magical, mysterious place where there is rumored to be a wall of bulk bricks. I am going to make that magic happen next week before we leave. I think I may plan it while Pete is out of state. He is not as Lego friendly as I am.My kids are very much like me and love their toys and their things. This is a constant source of frustration for Pete because they are also messy like me. This is the sort of habit you can't really keep hidden because it is out in the open for anyone to see. I think I keep things pretty in check but all this packing has thrown the house into chaos. Of course, I have many other, less noticeable habits. That leads me to the list. Five habits or secrets. Of course I am not expecting some deep dark personal secret. Even I wouldn't share that on a blog. Just silly little things that will only mildly be embarrassing. Or if you have no shame, like me, not be embarrassing. So, here are mine....
#1. I watch Golden Girls everyday from 9-10. The kids know this and I have caught Oscar getting hooked a couple of times. Which one's your favorite? I like Dorothy.
#2. I sing in the car, to EVERYTHING.This embarrasses the older kids to no end and when I open the windows they sink as low as they can go. Also, when we are at stores that play music, I dance a little to get them good and riled up.
#3. When I am in the car I usually listen to really crappy rap stations. I used to make up excuses when Pete would drive the car that it landed on that when I was scanning, but he has gotten wise to that and the secret is out. It is so much fun to sing "Apple Bottom Jeans" when Oscar is in the car.
#4. I like to stay up and read late into the night. Sometimes though, I really just play Nintendo DS for hours while the kids are sleeping.
#5. I love to tease the kids. It drives Pete crazy and I have tried to be more "grown up". I was banned from the Sharpie yesterday after Oscar and I had a marker vs. water gun fight. That's okay, I'll get him in the dodge ball game later.

i am so excited you guys are moving back i can hardly stand it! good luck with moving and selling your house. my secrets are, i love the price is right and watch it every morning and it is even better with drew carry as the host. i would love to sing in the car if landon and saxon would stop yelling at me "mom, don't sing this is a boy song". i talk to myself and my lips move with no sound when i do it according to ryan. so that's all, can't wait to see you guys soon. melissa
1. I too watch Golden Girls almost everyday. When I was off for summer vacation, I would watch for an hour in the afternoon. Luckily for me, they are also on for an hour early in the morning, so I catch them from 6- 6:30 while I'm getting ready. But not Fridays, they are not on then. :(
2. I also sing in the car. And thanks to a Travis story about some stranger catching him singing in the car, and so then putting more enthusiasm into it, I sing with total disregard to others and for my complete and total enjoyment.
3. I let magazines like Family Circle tell me what beauty products to buy. I read them with a pen, circle the items I think I need, dog ear the pages, and then rip them out to put in my purse before heading out to Target or Wal-Mart.
4. I can't pass up french fries. I have even given waiters dirty looks and snapped at them for trying to take my plate even though there were only like five fries left. It's even worse now that I only eat them like once a week. I've lost 31 lbs. by the way, and my husband has lost 51 lbs.
5. I love to watch The Girls Next Door. I am totally intrigued by Hugh Hefner's life. The best part, the pajama time that man gets. I can only manage like one day a month were I never get out of my p.j.'s, and I absolutely love pajamas, even more than shoes and purses. And he is the ultimate homebody with specific routines. I'd love to kick it with him for a week, in my pajamas.
Melissa- Hans and Olive are forever fighting about boy vs. girl songs. Pete share your Price Is Right enthusiasm. I believe my brother in law went to a taping and an old friend from school was a bouncer for the show.
April- First off, CONGRATULATIONS! Losing weight is so hard and that is a pretty significant accomplishment, way to go! I share in your fry passion. There is a guy in Sequim running for something that is named Hugh Haffner. I love that. My mom is a total pajama hound and will put them on about 2 or 3 sometimes and has quite a closet of them. Also, I secretly watch that show as well.

1. I love the Hills, Nini & I watch it on the computer together because it has been banned from the TV.
2. I get up every morning at 3:00 am and pray while everyone else is asleep.
3. I read the same books as Nini & Elijah (and now silas & georgie). I like to know what their reading and I secretly enjoy teenage novels.
4. I sing at work, I keep my radio on and when the lobby is empty I sing.
5. I will miss my sister more than she thinks. I wish I could have changed circumstances while she was here but I love her unconditionally.
1. I can fall asleep anytime or any place. Just give me five minutes to close my eyes and.... zzzzzz
2. I like things neat and orderly. a surprise to anyone who knows me I'm sure.
3. I find I'm getting more and more like my father... something that used to scare the hell out of me but now just makes me proud.
4. I love the 80's !
5. I sing while I'm delivering the mail.
All right wiseguy, just for the singing remark I would like to add my little story. When I was about 11 and you were working around the outside of the house I KNOW I heard singing. When I tried to surprise you at the front dooe you insisted you do not sing. That was the closest I have ever come to possibly hearing you sing. But, I did appreciate the humor in the comment. I do believe that you are more and more like Grandpa and in the same token, I believe that I am getting more and more like you. A good thing all around! Oh yes, and I heart the 80's in a big way baby!
Luisa, I am going to start getting up to pray at 2:45 am so that I can pray you will get a little more sleep! I love you and I think we will miss each other a lot. However, that means more phone time!
What a good list. I know I'm kind of late, but here it goes...
1. I have made a batch of cookie dough and thrown away the left overs so Troy wouldn't know how much I ate.
2. I LOVE the Price is Right with Drew also!
3. I have left clothes in the washer for way to long and had to rewash them before putting them in the dryer. One load had to be washed 4 times. (I try not to do this I just forget)
4. I dance with my babies to loud music and they love it. But since I can't relly dance only they will ever see this.
5. I love reality TV. Actuall I just love TV. It's a waste of time. But I still love it.
