Half asleep as I write this.....zzzzzzzzz
I have to be honest with you, I don't have a lot today. Not to say that we didn't do anything, I just didn't get that many pictures. I didn't sleep all that great these last two camping nights and I am exhausted. There are some crazy loud birds in this part of the country. There is also either wolves or coyotes and they like to stay up all night howling. We mostly just made our way back from Carlsbad to Albuquerque. We drove back through Encino, which may be one of the oddest towns I have ever seen.
I was pretty certain it was just a ghost town, but there is actually people living there. I am absolutely fascinated by it. There was no grocery store or gas station. Nor was there a town of any significance within 20 or 30 miles of it. There was a house next to this abandoned motel. That people lived in.
Once we got back to Albuquerque, Pete was kind enough to let me take the car and do some thrift shopping. I found a few things, nothing crazy good though. Oscar found a stack of Lego magazines from 1997 through about 2002. They are pretty sweet. We ended up back in Old Town after that. Pete and I had decided before we left for this trip that we would get new wedding bands for our 10 year anniversary this year. I wanted something with turquoise, like a ring my grandmother had worn. We had been in this really great shop on Monday. The ladies were so helpful and sweet and everything is made locally here. We had just started looking though so thought we'd shop around but realized this was the place. Pete found a ring that fit perfect but mine had to be sized so it will be coming in the mail. They will be awesome when we get remarried at Chapel of the Bells next month. From there we headed over to Church Street Cafe for dinner and, ......wait for it........margaritas.

Awesome! 10 years! Are you serious? Where does time go? I can't wait to see the rings.
