Oh my Papa, to me he is so wonderful....

Back to real life today. I had such a great time with my Dad. This was the first time my Dad has come to visit me with the sole purpose of just visiting with me. I cannot express how nice it was. My Dad and I have an easy relationship. I think over the last few years it has changed a little. Maybe I have grown up some or distance has played a part but it really is only better. I am like my Dad in many ways. Spending these few days together I can see where a great deal of my personality traits have come from. We were a little lost without a leader to take charge a couple of times but we managed through. The day out to get my tattoo is one of the best I've had in a long time. That will always be a special memory for me. It is hard for me to sometimes say how I feel and I know this is another thing I get from my Dad but I really love him a lot and I am sad he had to leave. Unfortunately, all the pictures of us together are on either his or Alex's camera so I will have to wait until I get them to post some.
It was nice to see my Mom and John back. My Mom is having a difficult time adjusting to this move. Luckily, Oscar was able to take her mind off of it with some serious checker games. Malachi did his part and danced on the table for awhile. He is truly a great dancer. Not very into the photos though. Every time Oscar took his camera out he would "dance" by and try and knock it out of his hands. He also is known to bite and brandish a wooden hanger.
Princess half eyes has actually been really great lately. This is her standard look when she is not happy with you or what you are asking her. On the subject of fathers and daughters I would like to state that I am extremely grateful that my two girls each have their own dad to themselves. Being one of three girls I know the struggling that goes on to divide time equally. Apparently this doesn't get any better as you get older. I probably could stand to take a lesson from Olive on not worrying what others think. Yeah Alex, that's right, I know you think you are the cute favorite because you are the baby. I knew I had seen the half eyes somewhere else. We finally had the January birthdays party. It was fun and the kids were happy. A little disappointed that they have to wait another year for a birthday month though. It was nice that Alex made the drive and dinner. She is good at making the right amounts. When my Dad and I were left to ordering pizza the following night we ended up with 9 huge Costco pizzas. We may have enough left over for next January's party. We have had a great time. I think we will be going to Sequim this weekend to see my Mom and John. Wherever they end up, they will definitely need a big closet to hold the plethora of fish t- shirts Grandpa has. Hopefully he will begin heeding their advice. I hope everyone else had a nice weekend.

I had a great time with everyone this weekend too, I'm excited for you guys to go to Sequim and see the peninsula. Have fun! I have to clarify though, I KNOW I'm not the favorite. And I quote, "There is always something so special about the first baby."

Thanks for the kind words. I had a blast and loved everything about my visit. It was special to spend some quality time with you and to realize that you may have inherited some of my traits, (sorry). I had a lot of fun with everyone as was so glad that we could be together. As I have said before, this blog helps me feel connected but there's nothing like being there. The tattoo turned out better than I could have hoped for,a definite best memory for the archives. I hope you have a great time with your Mom and John, I know it'll help with the adjustment. Also once more, thank you Pete for the day with Matilda it was much appreciated! Photos are on the way.
Love to all.
